SPLC Says Racially Motivated Mob Assault On White Student Justified
Sends Attorneys To Defend Negroes Accused Of Beating White Child

Jena, Louisiana -- The Southern Poverty Law Center, a homosexual Jewish organization, has intervened in the criminal prosecution of six Negroes accused of a racially motivated assault on a white child, providing pro bono defense attorneys and issuing press statements calling for increased black on white racial violence.
In a press release today, Southern Poverty Law Center President Richard Cohen stated that the black students were justified in beating the white student because they suspected the white student had hung a noose from a local tree. Because Cohen feels the authorities had not sufficiently punished the white youth, he feels the black engaged in a justified act of vigilante terrorism:

"These prosecutions are a symbol of a justice system gone wrong."

One of the black youth, Mychal Bell, has already been convicted of second degree racially motivated assault and is facing twenty two years in prison. Bryant Purvis, Carwin Jones, Robert Bailey Jr, Theodore Shaw and an unidentified juvenile are still awaiting trial.

The SPLC attorney involved is James Edgar Boren, born 11/16/1949, of 2035 E LAKESHORE DR BATON ROUGE, LA 70808 (225) 383-0374. His wife, Teresa, often answers the phone.

Richard Cohen, Southern Poverty Law Center President, is of 702 CLOVERDALE RD MONTGOMERY, AL 36106 (334) 652-6562.
